Critters

Back in Park City moose were the "norm" as far as what we frequently saw in our back yard, around the house and sometimes just outside the front door.  This good looking critter likes to hang out in the palm trees around the house and sometimes comes down for a visit in our back yard/patio area.

I can't really say if it is a boy or girl but it is a good looking creature to be sure...and yes, we give him lots of room when he comes by.

  1. i've been meaning to drop you guys a line for a while. we've been living in Mexico since 2007 and traveling around the US and Mexico since 2004. my husband is also a SAH (though I know you have a business now, Oz) which seems to be more normal here than the US (among Mexicans :)). anyway we're starting to wrap up our life here as our two youngest are reaching high school age (3rd graduates 3ro secudaria this year and number 4 will graduate in 2 years) so off we will send them to the US for that. Our boys (19 and 20) tried prepa here but hated it.

so lovely blog and good luck over on the Pacific coast there. (we're on teh Caribbean).

    1. Kathy. Thanks for your comment. Lovely blog? Oh you mean the random, unstructured and rarely proof read blabber we keep at this website address? Mostly kidding but I am happy to say we have been stumbling and bumbling our way for 5 years now with our Adventures blog. We don't really hear from folks often but it is alway fun to hear from anyone that we may not know out there who may stop by for a read. Sounds as though we should have sought you out for some advice years ago with all your experience raising a family here. I often think about what kind of people our kids will have become once it is time for them to move on to school or on to their own lives out there somewhere. There are lots of people out there doing this but rarely is it for the long haul. Yes, I have a business and will be opening up a second in the next couple months so yes, getting SAH Dad duties done will be even more hectic. On the other side of the equation and most importantly, having an additional income stream will hopefully allow my wife to stay home longer periods before going back to the States to work. How did you manage it for so long? Best of luck to you wrapping up the school year and deciding what's next for your family.

  2. I've been checking out your family's blog for a while now, as my family and I prepare for a month long visit to Sayulita next month, and I just have to say what a great resource it has been for us! Your children are little hero's to my two girls (ages 8 and 9) and have gotten them interested (with a little prodding) in being open to new adventures such as surfing. Just wanted to say a big "thanks" to all the families you are providing a glimpse of Sayulita life, to, as I know we aren't the only ones that love to read about your adventures!

  3. Melissa. Thanks for the post and I am happy that this small spot on the web has helped you with your Adventure planning. Our blog was never meant to be a guide but rather a way to keep in contact with folks back north of the border about what we are up to. Having said that, we are very happy that folks like yourselves and others who have dropped us a line have been able to use it and plan with some "experience" ahead of time and in your case helping the girls build some interest in such a trip. Well, best of luck with your travel plans and travel safe. If you see us stuffing our faces at some taco stand somewhere please say "hola".
